Now For Bali.....

I'm pretty well settled into my new abode which I call my sanctuary. It is my sanctuary. I am no longer in a place that reminds me of the hell years dealing with sick wife, and high up in an apartment block in a secure gated community, I feel really safe here when I want to get away from this 3D world which is often!!!!!

Now just three basic things I need for my abode in order of priority.....

1. Setting up broadband internet connection. As I said I am going with wireless as it is more reliable than landline in Perth. Just need to purchase a modem upfront as part of the deal.

2. A small fridge, "small" being the emphasis here. Just a single person like me does not need a large fridge, and a small fridge will make it easy for me when the time comes to move again. Though I love this place and am on a 12 months lease, I wont be here forever. So a minimum of possessions when it comes time to move, and a SMALL fridge will make it so much easier to be more nomadic.

3. Single bed. I am most likely to just get a camp bed with a foam mattress. Again ease of mobility, and I will easily be able to take it with me when I become more nomadic. But just something that is off the ground, and not an air mattress cos one has to keep it regularly pumped up. Nothing is leak proof, it's just the nature of the beasties. A foam mattress removes the problem of needing to keep it pumped up with air, and it is lighter and easier to deal with than a normal single spring mattress which is thicker and heavier.

So these things, starting with internet, is what I will work on acquiring once I get back from Bali.

Meanwhile the Bali trip...... I once again depart this isolated little city on this Friday the 23rd at around 7:30AM for the 3 1/2 flight up to Bali. It is quicker to Bali than it is to Melbourne or Sydney!!! Once I reach the airport I should have my private transportation waiting for me, I have booked private transportation as opposed to the risky endeavour of catching a taxi which is fraught with dangers in Bali. And so I will be transported via private car with driver to my hotel in Ubud, and if all goes well I should be settled in my Ubud hotel by mid afternoon....... then to work out how I will spend the next nine days!!!!!

I really have no idea how I will get around the area, though the general consensus seems to be to go with a chartered vehicle, a car with one's private driver. I am not sure how I would arrange this but I imagine the hotel will have information on such things. Many of the attractions according to my Google maps are within walking distance from the hotel, up to about 2kms. But much further than that will require transport. I elected not to hire a car, I figure to let a driver deal with the hairy situation of driving on Bali roads - though shouldn't be much different to driving in Perth!!!!! LOL!!!! Apparent there is a volcano nearby, I would like to try to get to that if I could. One could hire a bicycle, but apparently riding a bicycle on Bali roads can be fraught with dangers - like riding in Perth!!!!! LOL!!!! Only that there are no cycleways to escape to in Bali. And Ubud is quite hilly. There's also a few temples around, and to visit them you need to wear a Sarong, which most of the more popular temples has available for hire.

And it turned out I picked the wet season!!!!! December to February is apparently the wet season in Bali. So it will be opposite to Perth where it never rains, but it seems in Bali it rains every day during wet season. Well I did say I enjoy the rain!! It looks like I will get more than my fair dose of rain before returning to drought stricken Perth!!!

The Bali trip is going to be a huge learning curve. This is my first time in a foreign non-western country for any extended period of time, that is, more than just stopovers on flights. My previous travels has been to western English speaking countries like America and the UK where for the most part society is set up pretty well the same as in Australia. Obviously there are differences, but you know what I am saying, society in general is set up much the same. However in Bali everything is going to be so different. For example I don't think you can just go to a convenience store to get dinner for the night. It is more like markets and all very different kinds of food. Society will be so different there, ways of doing things will be so different, it will be like being on another planet - well you can't say I don't have experiences with other planets!!!! I am a galactic traveller having visited many very alien planets. So Bali will be kinda like that!!!

So I am in Bali from December 23 through to January 1........

Meanwhile getting through the next four days at work during the busiest time of the year......

In case I haven't given it before, here's my Bali page.....

Moving House - Settled In My New Abode

Well I am finally here!!!!!!!! In my awesome new abode!!!!! And absolutely loving it!!!!!! But getting here wasn't without it's pain and trauma, such is the story of my life.........

Last Monday I was due to get my car back from repairs hopefully with what would now be virtually a new cooling system!!!!! My main task for the day was to deliver at least one trailer load of my possessions into storage and to go pick up the keys to my new abode which I intended to stay that night. I did not want to stay another night at the house, I wanted to be in my apartment.

However as usual there were delays, and when I still haven't heard from the mechanics by noon, the Virgo me started to panic, and to get online for the public transport journey planner to the real estate office to pick up my keys. Even if I wasn't going to get the car I was determined to be at my apartment even if I needed to ride my bicycle there!!!!!!

Then just as I was about to go out the door to catch public transport, I received the call, my car was ready!!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!

So I went to pick up the keys to my new abode, then to deliver my trailer load to storage, looking nervously at the temperature gauge. But it turned out it was behaving perfectly!!!!! Well for $1000 for a virtually new cooling system it had better behave otherwise those on the east coast would have heard my scream from there!!!!!!!

So Monday night I spent my first night in my apartment, and it was AWESOME!!!!! I LOVE this apartment so much!!!! And I love being high up on the 4th level, looking out from my balcony to the rising sun in the mornings.

However more stress to go...... as I have two days to deliver two more trailer loads of possessions, the major items being the double bed and the fridge. The fridge was indeed way too big for my apartment, it would not have even made it up the narrow stairways and it was too big for the elevator. It IS quite a huge fridge thanks to my wife who wanted things big!!!!!! And so Wednesday night, being the day I was due to vacate the house forever,  the fridge was the last item to go.

Nevertheless the stress wasn't over yet. I was due to meet the landlord on Thursday for that fateful final inspection when my past would come back to haunt me aka them walls courtesy of the hospital when they installed mobility devices for my wife and left the damage and mess behind. And well I did attempt to fix it but I had a feeling that my attempt would not satisfy the landlord..... and my feelings are always accurate.

And indeed come Thursday the accuracy of my feelings was confirmed. The main issue was I could not find the paint colors matching the rather ancient coloring of the walls, so the paints did not quite match. So the landlord would now be dealing with the problem, and the cost deducted from my bond. Fair enough, it happens. My marriage to my wife was very karmic on many levels, and I still have karmic debt to be paid.

However what surprised me, totally unrelated to the hospital issue, was the old wallpaper that was peeling. The landlord held me responsible for that and so is going to deduct that from my bond to deal with that. I would have thought that this would come under "fair wear and tear" which tenants are NOT responsible for. Hey it's old wallpaper, it is going to peel, it's the nature of the beasties!!!!! I will definitely be contacting tenants advice on that one, I am almost certain that this would come under fair wear and tear!!!!! OK its fair enough about the hospital damage to the walls, that occurred under my tenancy so I am rightfully responsible though I feel I was hard done by cos I couldn't find the right paints. If I had found the right paints the landlord would have been satisfied. Nevertheless I am responsible. But the peeling wallpaper?????? I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!! I am going to be contacting tenant's advice on that before I be signing any bond release forms which would list the deductions.

Despite this issue I was glad to FINALLY be free from that house on Thursday night and I could concentrate on settling into my new apartment.

And so I spent the weekend settling in. I am currently sleeping on the floor on an airbed, I will get a single bed sometimes after I return from Bali. And also a new smaller fridge, perhaps just a bar fridge, I don't need a big one, it is just me there!!!!! And the other major outlay after my Bali trip will be getting the internet set up. I am currently on my portable mobile device which is expensive so having to limit my data. However I have decided to go with home wireless rather than landline. Our landline system in Perth is unreliable, slow as a wet week, and forever dropping out. The wireless mobile network is far more reliable if more expensive. However, there are home based wireless plans available with unlimited or near-unlimited data for about the same price as landline broadband. Snag is however I will have to pay upfront for a wireless modem, several hundreds of dollars. So that will also have to wait until after my Bali trip.

So the first priority after my Bali trip is INTERNET!!!!!! Saving my pennies for a wireless modem, then getting home based wireless set up. I am down to a choice of two telcos NOT Telstra!!!! I am avoiding Telstra like the plague due to the roaming fiasco which I am still paying for!!!!! So just two other telcos to choose from once I have the funds for the modem.

Then after the internet, will be the fridge......... then the bed. I will probably just get a camp bed with a small mattress, it's easier to carry and deal with, especially when the time comes to eventually move out. As much as I love this apartment, I realise I won't be here forever. There will come a time when I will need to move out, and ultimately lead a more nomadic life, travelling around like the wind. That's my ultimate goal. Meanwhile I am in this apartment, and so I want to live as lightly as practical, with a small fridge, and a basic single bed. My biggest expense would be the internet, yes that is life of a nerd!!!!!

Meanwhile..... less than two weeks before I leave for Bali...... my 7:20am flight on Friday December 23, arriving just 3 1/2 hours later in Densapar. It's quicker to go to Bali than it is to go to Sydney!!!!!

Moving House - My Last Night

Well this is my last night here at this old house. Tomorrow I sign the lease and get the keys to my new abode, and so I will be spending my first night there.

OK the saga so far...... Overheating problem with the car. It was towed back to the mechanics on Thursday night for Friday, and they could not emulate the overheating problem. In other words the overheating does not become obvious until you drive it into the ground, such as the previous day with two virtually country trips to my storage unit plus looking at apartments.

However they did suspect a circulation problem, and they thought the most likely culprit would be the radiator. However the car needed to be delivered to a specialist for cooling systems who would have the equipment to thoroughly test the system to figure out exactly where the circulation problem lies. Kinda like visiting the GP with a problem when then refers you onto a specialist, say a heart specialist, for deeper analysis and treatment. So with my permission the car was delivered to the specialist for free as part of my RAC membership. This would mean I would be without a car for the weekend, very NOT good considering I still have trailer loads of furniture to deliver to my storage unit!!!! However I figure they needed to get to the bottom of the problem.

Later that did they called and indeed it was the radiator!! So now the current situation is, I am without a car for this weekend while they install a new radiator, and I should get the car back Monday. And all I can say is, after spending a total of over $1000 for the thermostat, the system flush, and new radiator, it had better not overheat again otherwise I will scream!!!!!! I still have two trailer loads of furniture to deliver to storage!!!!!

As a consequence of being without a car and therefore unable to deliver my items into storage, I began the task of moving the rest of my items to the shed so that the house could be empty for the cleaning crew last Saturday. The two major items being the fridge and bed. The washing machine and dryer were loaded directly onto the trailer ready for the next trip to storage. The block of apartments has shared laundry facilities so I will no longer be needing my washing machine and dryer, so both are going into storage. This leaves mainly the bed and fridge with some smaller items all squeezed into the shed. The shed has a power outlet so I could still plug in the fridge and use it, though now it has only drinks and the Magnum icecream sticks. I am currently getting my meals from the convenience stores, just like when I am on my trips ;)

Then the cleaning crew came to the house on Saturday and ended up spending all day there while I was out and about on my bicycle. I first road to my new abode, well outside of the gated community which my unit is located anyway. I will be within a secure complex that needs a key code to get in. So from my new abode I rode on my intended route to work, and it is a little further, adding about 10 minutes to my journey, but much of it is along the river and nearly all of the journey is on cycleways with next to no interactions with traffic. So I will be just that little bit more fit due to the further distances I be riding. There is a shorter route also on cycleway to work, but it is away from the river, and it involves several road crossings controlled by traffic signals which during peak times you wait forever at. So it is shorter but longer waits at traffic signals. I may take that route on my way home to see exactly how shorter it is and how long it takes with the traffic lights. I do prefer riding by the river as the water is very healing, there is energy healing associated with water.

So I rode to my workplace from my new abode to gauge how far it is and how long it will take. Then from there I rode to the post office to collect my mail and found there was a parcel waiting for me. Fortunately the parcel pickup window is open on Saturday mornings, so I went to collect my parcel to find it is a huge package, it is part of my RC Race Car, and well it barely just fit across the back carrier on my bicycle. Well I didn't want to lug it around for the rest of the day, so I rode to the next train station, so I could catch the train and take the parcel to my storage unit. So I took the train down to Kwinana, and rode my bicycle to my storage unit, still a 30 minutes ride from the station but it sure beats riding my bicycle all the way from the city!!!!

Then I took the train back to a shopping mall not far from my old place. It was noon by then and wasn't really sure when the cleaners would be finished, but they would text me when they are close to finishing so I figure I had better stay within the vicinity of the house, well within 30 minutes ride anyway. I was getting low on energy by then due to all of that bicycle riding so needed some sustenance, so I bought a roll at a shop within the food hall and ate it there. Then I made my way back to the house and set up camp in the park nearby. I could see the house from the park and saw that the cleaners were still there.

So I went to another mall nearby, bought a soda and set up camp in one of the lounges they provided at the mall...... and then after a while, I decided I would ride to the coast which is about 20 minutes along a cycleway. And so after I arrived at the coast I set up camp on one of the bench seats overlooking the ocean. It was getting late in the day by then so figure the cleaners should be finished fairly soon.

And just as I was about to relax by the ocean, I received the text message, the cleaners would be finished within about 30 minutes. So I was on my way back. And I have to say I was pleased with the job. It really is worth paying someone to do all the cleaning, a lot less stressful for me, it certainly beats doing it all on my own and being stressed out and tired. I have enough stress with the car and still needing to transport items into storage before Wednesday when I am due to hand in the keys.

Today I was mostly in the garden, this I elected to do on my own since it was relative simple and I am good at it. Just lawn mowing, edging, a bit of weeding and cleaning the pavement. Nothing much to it with the equipment that I have. So took me no more than about three hours to do it all back and front. So now the house is clean and the garden is now done. The only thing left to do is repairing the damage to the walls left behind by the hospital when they install mobility devices for my wife. I have already filled in the holes in the wall and painted them over in two of the rooms. Due to a lack of car I hadn't gone to the hardware store to attempt to find the right paint for the bedroom. So if I get the car back early enough tomorrow that will be what I will do. Then hopefully this will complete the tasks that needed to be done on the house.

Tomorrow, Monday, I have the day off work. So the timing of my plans hinges on when I be able to lick up the car. What is required to be done is at least one trip to the storage unit to deliver my trailer load of furniture. Also need to visit the real estate office to sign the lease, being a 12 months lease, and collect my keys. Then setting up in my new abode.

What I have decided regarding the bed is to get a single bed. It is much easier to deal with than the double bed I currently have, and well its not like I be needing a double bed anytime soon or at all. I will be single for the rest of my life on this planet, I have no intention of getting into another relationship, there is a reason why I am called the Wandering Wolf. I am a lone wanderer, a nomad. Also the room at my new abode is not very big, perfect size for me but just not very big, so a single bed would be more viable than a double bed. So my current double bed will be taken into storage, and I will get a single bed after I return from Bali. Need to save my pennies for spending money in Bali. You know how it is on overseas trips, you never have enough money!!!! And I already spent too much on that infernal car. The cheaper rent, virtually half of what I am paying now, will help immensely. The air ticket and lodging are already paid for, so it's just spending money.

Meanwhile I am just pretending I am camping out on one of my trips and sleeping on my air bed. Here at my current abode I am now sleeping on my air bed, and so tomorrow night I will simply just take my air bed to my new abode and be sleeping on that until after my Bali trip.

The other task I need to do when I get into my new abode is to measure for the fridge, to figure out if it will fit into my new abode. My current fridge is a large fridge legacy of my wife who wanted a large fridge. Indeed it is so large it didn't even fit into the fridge space at this current house so it has always been located in the dinning area next to the kitchen. So my current abode being a small abode it may not fit in, indeed I may not be able to even get it into my apartment. The fridge barely fits through the front door at this house, and the doors to apartment tends to be more narrow. So I will have to check and measure before I can know if I could take the fridge into my apartment. If not, then the fridge will also be taken into storage and a new smaller fridge being added to my shopping list after the Bali trip. Until then I be just living how I live on my trips, getting my daily sustenance from convenience stores and the occasional fast food joint.

And so my nomadic adventures continues...........

Moving House - New Abode

So much has been happening and very intense. So some quick updates........

NEW ABODE

Yes I finally been approved for my new abode. Yesterday I met with the agent to inspect a cosy little abode, a nice little apartment within a secure complex in Maylands, not far from the river, and just up the street from the railway line and cycleway into the city. So from there I be able to ride my bicycle all the way along the cycleway without contending with traffic, the cycleway goes into the city, then along the river, and finally to my workplace. So virtually no traffic contact on my bicycle ride to work.

The abode itself. Well it is within a secure complex. There is secure parking behind an electronic gate, and entry into the apartment complex is via an electronic key card. My abode itself, just a one bedroom unit with bathroom attached to the bedroom, and a large balcony. It's small, just the right size for me, and quite efficient use of space. The vibes of the area is a lot better. And so last night I submitted the online application form.

Today I was informed I was accepted, and so basically I get to move in on Monday.

THE CAR

However the cooling system on the car began to play up which really threw a spanner into the works cos I need it to transport my surplus items to storage. So yesterday I had it booked in for repairs, and they flushed the cooling system and replaced the thermostat. So today on my day off work I set about taking more trailer loads of surplus items into storage. Alas later that day the cooling system played up again!!!!! Fortunately I just delivered a trailer load of items, but soon after the car began to overheat so much I couldn't drive it.

So I called the RAC who called the tow truck driver, and well thanks to my premium membership, towing and a ride back in the tow truck was for free. So the car was towed back with the trailer, and the RAC booked it back in with the mechanics for tomorrow with a giant WTF!!!!!!!! And it turned out, the towing\delivery to the mechanics was also for free. So tomorrow I will learn of what's in hell's name was going on!!!!! grrrrrrrrrr......

This really messed up my plans. The cleaners are due in on Saturday, and with another whole day at the mechanics, I will now have no time to transport the remaining furniture to the storage unit. I have at least two more trailer loads to go, and the house needs to be empty by Saturday so the cleaners could come and do their job.

Well I could temporarily locate the remaining items to the back shed if need be, depending on what the mechanics says about the car and how soon they be able to rectify the problem. And well I am in my current house until Wednesday, so if worse come to worse, I could always hire a small truck to move my remaining items. But this really messed things up for me!!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrr..........

MY TRIP

Oh yes this nomadic soul is going on yet another trip. This time to Bali, or more specifically, the Ubud region of Bali said to be the cultural center of Bali and is where the hippies tends to go, it's an hour north of the main city. There are a lot of temples and sacred sites in that region, and it is where the Dragon Line traverses, the same Dragon Line that runs through Glastonbury, and it also runs through Peru and Uluru. I am hoping to go to Peru next year ;)

Anyway my Bali trip will be from December 23 to January 1, basically my Xmas vacation period from work. And my page for this trip is.......

MY UBUD BALI TRIP

So once again I be spending Xmas and New Year out of Perth. Last year it was New Zealand, this year it is Bali. But I won't be meeting anyone, I will be on my lonesome, like a  personal pilgrimage journey, doing my energy works along the Dragon Line in the region, visiting these sacred sites, these high energy vortex sites, lots of ET activity!!!!!!

So that was just a brief summary of what is going on.............

Moving House - The Cleaning

Things are now starting to happen at half the speed of light!!!! Today indeed marks two weeks remaining at this house!!!!!

Last Friday's schedule meeting with my potential rooming host didn't take place. She got held up in one of her many jobs so was running late. And with a busy week ahead this week for her, we agreed to wait until the following weekend - this weekend - when she is scheduled to contact me again, and have our meetup at the house early the following week. With me due to vacate this house on the 7th, this still leaves a little over a week, cutting a wee bit fine for this Virgo who likes to be organised as soon as possible and not leave things to the last minute, however, I really like her energies, and her room offer all sounds good on all counts from location to room rate with all utilities included.

So now to channel my over-anxious energies into organising for the house to be cleaned. It's in the DNA of Virgos to be over anxious about things, we like to be organised as soon as possible, we hate leaving things to the last minute, and the task of sourcing cleaners for the various tasks seemed overwhelming!!!

OK let's take three deep breaths and begin with the oven cleaning. I googled for a list of oven cleaners. So I tried to call the first of them but no one answered. Then I went back online and happened to find a company that coordinates the various cleaning jobs and one of their specialties is cleaning for vacating rental properties. OK sounds good!!!!!!

So I called them, and told them I need cleaning for the oven, carpets, windows, and general cleaning. At first the sheila told me she would need to source four different people for these four jobs, and each one would call me within two hours. Me the Virgo sceptic, we Virgos are sceptical creatures, thinking that no one would call in two hours and I'd be waiting all day for those calls. And we impatient Virgos hates waiting, we like things organised as soon as possible!!!!!!

Well much to my surprise the carpet cleaner called me within the first hour!!!! And after giving details of the house, he gave me a quote which I thought was most reasonable. In truth I would not have cared how much it would cost, I just wanted this whole affair over and done with, to get out of this house and never see it again!!!!! This whole affair of cleaning and moving is bringing up too much previously suppressed memories of my wife and how sick she was, the worst of her sickness and the hell years of being her carer took place in this house. So yes I just want to get out ASAP!!!!!! Anyway, after giving the quote, we agreed for him to come do the carpet cleaning on the 5th, leaving me two days for tying up loose ends.

And a little while later, actually just inside the promised two hours, the cleaning lady called me, and so we arranged for her to come to the house after work to scope out the place and then give me a quote. It turns out she also cleans the oven, so the oven cleaner problem is solved. And so she arrived at exactly the agreed time, and we went through the house as she checked out what needed to be cleaned. Then she said she would email me the quote.

This left the problem with the window cleaner. I was told the general house cleaner does the inside of the windows but I would need to book a separate cleaner who does the outside of the window, and was told by the sheila on the phone that no window cleaner was currently available, so I would probably have to arrange one from elsewhere.

However the next day I received the quote via email along with a list of cleaning tasks to be done. The quote again was very reasonable, and was impressed at the list of cleaning jobs. I was surprised to learn that she would also do the outside of the windows. Furthermore she included the garage, what I didn't think would occur. I was just going to clean the garage myself which would be nothing more than just sweeping it out. However I was most appreciative of the fact that she also includes the garage, and also the front and back porches. So basically that is all of my cleaning jobs done!!! There would be no more cleaning that I would need to do.

So this happy Virgo now have arranged for the cleaning lady to come on the 3rd which is a Saturday, then the carpet cleaners on the 5th a Monday. Basically the whole house will be cleaned in time for that final inspection.

This leaves me with the task of doing the wall repairs courtesy of that infernal hospital who installed mobility devices for my wife but left a mess on the walls with holes. There were two bolts in the wall which I couldn't remove, so I thought I would have to call for a home handyman to come remove the bolts. I searched online for such a handyman, then something told me to try the bolts again, and this time after a few well timed blows with the hammer was able to work the bolts loose and to remove them!!!! I was so happy!!!!

So now I can repair the walls myself. First fill in the holes and cracks with a wall filler, then to paint it over. Fortunately the wall filler now comes premixed in a tube, you simply apply the paste to the holes in the same way one would squeeze a toothpaste onto the toothbrush. Gone are the days when our only choice was to get the powder and mix it with water ourselves, making sure we do it in the correct proportions. Nowadays we can still get the powder and it is cheaper. But I take convenience over economics, so I opted for the more expensive premixed paste option!!!!!

Next to source the paints matching as close as possible to the wall colors. Repairs needed to be done to the toilet wall which is a dark cream, the bathroom wall which is white, and the bedroom wall which I thought was white but it turned out to be a more off-white color. So while I had gotten the paints for the first two rooms, I will this weekend have to go back to the hardware store to source an off-white paint for the bedroom wall.

Plan is to repair and fill in the holes and cracks this weekend, then wait until the cleaners have done their jobs the following weekend before painting the walls. They would clean any marks off the wall and deal with the cracked and flaking paint near where the hospital did their thing. Then afterwards I would paint the walls at the site of the repairs.

Last but not least the gardens and lawns. This is relatively simple, just a matter of keeping the lawns mowed, the edges trimmed, and the weeds under control - and of course as well watered as possible within the restrictive frame of our rostered watering nights!!!!! So basically just have to keep the lawns alive during these very dry times for the next two weeks!!!!!

Now basically I need to get all of my remaining furniture out of this house by Friday the 2nd so the cleaners could come in on the 3rd. This includes my washing machine, fridge, and bed. If I take the room offer, the room is fully furnished and all facilities provided so I won't need any of these items, so will just transport them to my storage unit and figure out what to do with them later. There is also a cupboard, a couple of tables with my laptop and other electronics, and the TV also used for my PC. I will begin to remove these this weekend then over the following week, hoping by then I will know where I will be going by the end of that week.

So next major point in what is turning out to be a very interesting series of events of my move is making contact with my potential roomie host this weekend, possibly arranging to meetup at the house early in the week. If for some reason this falls through, well it leaves me just a week to find another abode.

This is the story of my life....... nothing ever happens by conventional means!!! Everyone else would just contact a real estate agent and source some flats to rent, inspect them, apply for the rental, and wait for the decision. But me.... no..... I just have to be different..... unconventional..... out of the ordinary....... that adventurous Uranus natal in my Sun sign really kicking in!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is...... watch this space!!!!!!!!!

Moving House - Room Offer

So much has been happening lately it's been rather overwhelming for this quiet Virgo. I have been spending a part of each evening cleaning the house, most which I am able to do, but identifying some areas which I will need help from a professional cleaner. This weekend I plan to visit the hardware store to acquire items to allow me to paint and repair the walls where the hospital had left its mess in installing mobility aids for my wife, and also to source an oven cleaner and make a booking for him to come and clean the oven.

However the most momentous development came in the past 24 hours. Yesterday I realized that it marks three weeks until I am due to vacate this house, therefore I will now need to take proactive action in searching for a new abode. My Virgo inspired plan was to acquire a new abode about two weeks prior to my vacate date so to enable me time to remove the rest of the furniture and leave the house empty to enable the cleaners to clean the house and to make sure all is up to scratch for that dreaded final inspection.

So I first turned to the scant spiritual community in Perth, and posted to a FaceBook group for spiritual people looking for new abodes. I posted a message in the group specifying that I am looking to move into an apartment, flat, studio, or bedsitter. And I stated the reason for my move is to move on from the death of my wife, and needing to move out of this large house. So I posted the message just before I went to bed on Wednesday night, that is, last night.

I woke up this morning to get ready for work, I wake up very early as I go to work early, and just thought I check FaceBook but not expecting any replies just yet. However I was surprised to receive a reply already - a lady with a puppy dog offering me a room for rental within her house.

OK I didn't specifically ask for just a room rental within a household, though I was actually considering this option. I was considering it but I didn't tell anyone. I believe things happens for a reason, and so I message her back saying I would consider her offer.

Now me being a Virgo I have my habits and my quirks, and there are certain issues that would need to be addressed for me to be renting a room in a shared household. First and foremost I will need an en suite or at the very least access to own bathroom. I am a Virgo, I have my habits, so own bathroom is a necessity. This offer fulfills this condition, she uses an en suite in her room, so the spare bathroom apparently opposite my intended room will basically be my own bathroom.

Next issue is the room rate versus rent for an apartment. When she sent me pixs of her house, it looked very impressive, almost like a mansion, and located in one of the better parts of the city near the river, so I thought it would be expensive. I was surprised when she quoted the rate, it was only a little higher than the cheapest flat in a less desirable part of town. Furthermore the room rate includes utilities. So basically I be paying a flat room rate with no extra utilities bills such as power or water. Of course in a flat you pay the rent then you pay the utilities on top of that. And being in a household, I be able to cancel my landline phone and internet account and just use their wi fi connection. So am really getting an excellent deal here.

Then the shared facilities such as laundry. In moving to an apartment or flat, I already saw that the studios and one-bedroom flats typically has no private laundry facilities and so we be using the communal laundry facilities within the block of flats. Back in the days before I got married I lived in apartment blocks with shared laundry facilities and much to my annoyance found that they never provide enough washing machines for the size of the block. And so the scant supply of washing machines were forever in use, and always a queue for using them. Yes one machine in a block of 20 units is simply not enough!!!!!! Of course in this room rental offer, the laundry facility is shared but by only one other person - the owner of the house. So assuming she uses the laundry maybe two days per week, maybe even three days, that leaves me with at least four other days for me to use the facilities. So no queues and no waiting.

Then the shared kitchen facilities, and again with only one other person to share with, this will not be such an inconvenience. And from the pixs it seems she has a large modern kitchen. The whole house is very impressive, it be like living back with Mother's two-storey house after her 2nd marriage, and just as roomy.

Next is location. Very good location near the river and close to the city, so a reasonable bicycle riding distance to work each day, much of it along the cycleway that runs along the river. In contrast in my current abode, my bicycle ride is mainly through back streets and then along the cycleway that runs along the Freeway with no scenic views.

And it's a spiritual household so my weirdness would be better tolerated. Well she checked my FaceBook page with my weird stories from Taygeta, my Wicca, ET, and Star Seeds stuff, etc, and she still offered me the room!!!! So she must like me despite my weirdness!!!!

So this afternoon we chatted on the phone for a bit..... and she still must like me cos we now arranged for a meetup tomorrow afternoon to look at the house and to discuss the nitty gritty, the finer details, my Virgo habits and quirks, and whether we could indeed live under the same roof. She knows I'm a Virgo and she still likes me, or at least, tolerate me enough to offer me the room, so she must not be fazed too much by Virgos. We Virgos are fussy creatures, we have our set ways, our annoying quirks, are anxious creatures, over-thinking, and analysing everything. And well she just had her birthday which makes her a Scorpio, who are more passionate creatures with lots of energies, and she certainly sounds like a typical Scorpio. She's 50 so similar age to me.

So this will be crunch time, and whether living under the same roof will be viable given our quirks....... especially my Virgo quirks........

Of course being a Virgo we like to take our time in making decisions, we don't rush into anything, we take our time to analyse, compare, weigh up pros and cons, and just generally being fussy creatures and over-thinking on whether the particular offer is viable for our quirks. But she will probably want a decision ASAP, assuming she still tolerates me after our meetup, so.... well.... will see how it pans out.....

Moving House - Landlord Visits

Well as soon as the landlord received my letter of intention to vacate the property, what happened next is what I knew would happen. He called me that night, and requesting a visit that night!!!! I knew exactly why he wanted to visit so soon. He was in shock and would try to have me change my mind!!! His words were that I have been an excellent tenant and not likely to find anyone else like me to rent his property!!!!

So he came over with his wife, and spent the first 30 minutes trying to talk me into changing my mind. But me being a Virgo once I set my mind on something I very rarely change my mind. He offered to keep the rent at the same rate for the next three years, and even suggested I find someone to share the house and hence the rent and expenses with. However there is more to the issue than just the rent and expenses. It is also the energy expended in maintaining the house, and especially the yard. I am spending nearly every weekend maintaining the yard, mowing the lawn, etc. This is unsustainable when I continue to travel. For example, if I go somewhere for four weeks during the summer months who is going to water the garden??

Being a Virgo I hate to disappoint people and let them down, and my landlord was disappointed, he really did not want me to go. I explained to him that I will be travelling more. He said, well you still need somewhere to live!!!!! Well true enough, but I also explained, since the death of my wife I am no longer needing such a large living space!!!!

Anyway, when it became obvious that my Virgo mind has been made up and is not going to change his mind whatsoever, the landlord went through the house explaining what will need to be done to it prior to vacating. Most of it are just the standard requirements of cleaning the property, however a few extra are legacy of my wife. When the hospital tradies came to install the various mobility devices around the house, the bars, etc, they have a very bad habit of leaving mess behind, such as, holes in walls, etc. And well the responsibility falls on me, and I will have to basically clean up what the hospital tradies left behind - fixing the holes, repainting, etc. Well fortunately I should be able to do most of this myself, just get some crack-filler from the hardware store and small tins of paint nearest to the color of the walls. The landlord did say it doesn't have to be exactly the same color but as close to it as possible. So some white paint for the bedrooms, and beige for the bathroom and toilet. And my wife, behind something of a handywoman, she does have a lot of tools, including power tools, which will make my job easier such as where fixtures needs replacing such as the toilet paper holder which had to be removed cos it gotten in the way of my wife and interfered with her mobility. It is just fortunate I given myself five weeks until I am due to vacate the property, and I plan on moving into my new abode about two weeks prior to the due vacate date, leaving the property empty for the final cleanup and any other issue that needed to be cleared up.

Most of the cleanup and repairs I should be able to do myself. However there are some things that I will pay a professional to do. Such as the tiresome task of cleaning the oven. I hate cleaning the oven, and the fumes from the oven cleaner makes me want to pass out. So basically will pay someone to do the dirty work for me, who is more likely to do a better job than me, thus more likely to satisfy the landlord.

Also I will employ someone to clean the windows, especially outside where I can't reach!! And also the carpets. So the most difficult aspects of the job I will employ professionals to do.

It turns out that my landlord will himself be overseas for four weeks, his turn to travel! ;) And as synchronicity would have it, his return is set for the end of November, just a few days before my set vacate date. I originally planned to give myself just four weeks to vacate the property however I strongly felt to give an extra week. And as it turned out, if I was to vacate the property at the end of four weeks, the landlord would still be overseas or just on his way back. So the extra week is not only for my benefit but for the benefit of the landlord. It is also good that he is currently away overseas, it will mean he won't be in my hair while I am busily prepping the property for vacating.

So now I am in the process of cleaning the place and moving all but bare necessities into my storage unit. As per being a Virgo who works to a plan, I do a small section each night after work for no more than a couple of hours. And by doing a small section each evening for two weeks, pretty well most of the house will be cleaned, leaving the oven, windows, etc to the professionals. By then most of my furniture and items will be in my storage unit.

By then I will also have begun my search for my new and much smaller hence cheaper and easier to maintain abode. After next weekend when I have done the bulk of my clearing out of furniture and boxes of possessions, transporting them to my storage unit via my 4x6 caged trailer, I will then begin my search for my new abode.

OK starting to get ahead of myself here..... a typical Virgo trait!!!!!..... let's focus on the present, which is, being in the first of the two weeks of cleaning, packing, and moving most of my items into storage, leaving just bare necessities which will do me until I find my new abode.

So far I have done the curtains and venetian blinds, the most difficult jobs that I am willing to do. Then the cabinets, where I had to confront my phobia of cockroaches. Even dead cockroaches freaks me out, and there were plenty of dead cockroaches in the mostly empty cabinets, the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. It was just a matter of vacuuming up the carcases however it still freaked me a bit. My vacuum cleaner is one of those newer bagless cleaners with a clear drum, and seeing those dead cockroaches swirling around inside the cleaner was also very creepy. I tolerate indeed even welcome most other creatures, spiders, ants, lizards, even the odd snake..... but cockroaches absolutely freaks me out!!!!! This is because during one of my lifetimes on another planet I was eaten alive by roach-like Insectoid aliens.

So yes I done the cabinets, and cleaned out the wardrobes in the bedroom, so all clothing, etc, except what I normally wear, are now packed away ready to be transported into storage. The bedrooms, kitchen and living room has all been cleared aside from bare necessities, and several boxes waiting to be transported into storage this weekend. Then the next week I start on the garage and shed, and the furniture, removing most furniture except my immediate necessities. Then the property will be ready for the professionals to come and do their job, and it be a relatively simple job of moving into my new abode when I find one.

Moving house is inherently stressful and a lot of work, but a bit of planning which we Virgos are good at doing will make it so much easier, while at the same time, allowing life to go on..... going to work each day, attending my ecstatic dance sessions....... and thinking about my next travel destination...... ;)

Moving House - The Process Commenced

Now I am back from a most memorable and indeed most energetic trip to the UK. I have never known a place to have so many vortexes!! All those stone circles and other sacred sites, the Avalon sites such as Glastonbury, and just so many other sites. I am continuing to update my Glastonbury Trip page as I share of my experiences there. The Glastonbury Trip site being....

My Glastonbury Trip

My plan was to commence the process of moving house within the week of arriving back from the UK. However I initially thought I may need to put such plans on hold. I rented a car in the UK, and I discovered I inflicted some scratches on the bumper bar I assume from an encounter with a shrub at the edge of one of those very narrow village streets. I don't actually remember the incident but only when I just happened to notice the scratches afterwards. If this was in America I would have been comprehensively insured for such instances, they have a damage waiver insurance that I always take out. However there is no such creature in the UK, and in fact when picking up the car I was required to sign a car condition report which included any pre existing scratches. I never had to sign such a report in America. The report states that I would be responsible for any new scratches appearing. Of course there are insurance options available in the UK, which I of course took out, but there is no such comprehensive insurance. There's mostly personal insurance against injuries, etc, then certain other insurances which are mostly access waivers, so we won't need to pay any access, however they work only to reduce any payment one will be required to make for damages, not eliminate it totally as one can do so in America. Probably because there are no villages with narrow roads in America, and in the UK it is common to have damages inflicted on cars due to the narrow roads with shrubs and buildings right up to the edges of the road.

So not knowing what my final bill will be, with the real possibility that it may cut into my funds for moving house, I had thought about holding off on the move until I get the bill.

However I since decided to push ahead with my plans for moving house anyway. And if I fall short in the funds due to any upcoming car rental bills, well I just trust in the universe to provide for me one way or the other. As the saying goes, where there is a will there is a way. So just step out and trust in the universe. Miracles never happens while we just sit around worrying about things, the miracles comes only when we are actually DOING things to fulfil our destiny. And my destiny is to travel worldwide working with Gaia's energies at the various vortexes over this planet. And moving house into a smaller abode as a first step towards a nomadic lifestyle is a part of this destiny. Travel is easier when one does not need to put so much energy into one's home base. And at this time, living in this three bedroom house on a block of land is taking up a lot of my energies as well as my finances, not only the rent but also utilities and other expenses. Being in a studio or one-bedroom apartment takes a lot less energy to maintain, so more energies devoted to travel. And being truly nomadic takes even less energy, so much more for travel.

So today I took the vital first step. That is, composing a notice for my landlord and posting it to him. So the notice of my intention to vacate these current premises is now on its way to my landlord. One need to give at least four weeks notice, so I set the vacate date to be December 7, being a Wednesday so at the end of the rent cycle, the rent being paid on Thursdays. So five weeks to vacate this place and find a new abode. The housing situation in Perth is currently favourable with a glut in the rental properties, so should be able to find a place for reasonable rent. Our rent is still very high, it is just only the 2nd most expensive in Australia. A few years ago, Perth was the most expensive place for rents, moreso than Sydney. Nowadays it is only Sydney that is more expensive, but Perth is still more expensive than the other cities. So any reduction in any rent I would need to pay will be most helpful, and I need only a studio apartment or a one bedroom apartment. A studio is no bedrooms, just basically a large living room area with a bed at one end. That would suit me very well as I do not need much space to live in. So either a studio or at most a 1-bedroom unit is all I am looking for.

Needless to say I will be very busy over these next five weeks, so will update with blogs when I can..... probably short updates with any major steps achieved. The focus on the first couple of weeks will be to do most of the cleaning, which is relatively easy due to my steam cleaner which does pretty well everything without any chemicals. And to transport all but the barest of essentials to my storage unit. This will make it a lot easier when the time comes to move into a new apartment, which I will do BEFORE I vacate this current house, so to give me the chance to make sure the house is clean and prepared for that final inspection for my bond while it is empty.

The Saga of the PC Stick

This time in just two very short days I will be in one of those big white birds on the first leg of my very long trip to the UK. You know you live in the most isolated city on Earth when you travel overseas. There are no direct flights to Europe, there is always a stopover, in my instance in Dubai in the wee small hours of the morning local time, before finally arriving in London early Friday morning local time...... before attempting to navigate the labyrinth that is Heathrow Airport that is so huge that it makes Sydney Airport look like a dusty old outback runway with a few tin sheds serving as terminals!!! There I pick up my rental car for the hour's drive or so to Southampton on the south coast which will be my home base for the next two weeks.

Meanwhile back at the ranch...... been very busy.........

Last week I mentioned about ordering a PC Stick, basically a device that you plug into the TV turning it into a Windows PC with an equivalent power of a high end laptop for a fraction of the price. Sounds like a great deal, so I ordered one, which of course came from the east coast. And a short week later them carrier pigeons finally delivered my Stick, that was last Wednesday.

So I connected my keyboard and mouse to the device and plugged it into my TV. The device automatically began to boot itself, loading up Windows.... so far so good...... until..... Alas!!!!! It refused to talk to my keyboard!!!! The mouse worked fine, but the device wouldn't work without a keyboard. So I tried a 2nd keyboard that I had..... same result!!!! Arrrrrrrgh!!!!!

Back to square one!!!!! I was so annoyed!!!! Just as luck would have it, it seemed I had gotten a faulty device. Well there is a warranty attached to it, but being so close to my trip there is simply no time to deal with it..... will probably have to send it back to the east coast, that is at least a week, then probably months before I either get it back or at least get sent a replacement device.

So I faced up to the possibility of having just my tablet for my trip, and being without a Windows machine for the foreseeable future.

As the saying goes, it is better not to gain at all than it is to gain then lose it!!!! Like you been promised something only for it to fall through at the last minute!!!! Whether it was just that or the universe prodding me, I felt compelled again to look for laptops.

True enough there are cheap laptops around but it is very much a case of you get what you pay for. Cheap laptops are not much bigger than my tablet and nothing much more than glorified electronic pads. A geek like me needs much more, a decent machine with grunt, high speed processor, graphics, basically a multimedia machine - otherwise I might as well just stick with my tablet.

Such machines are expensive. Me being Virgo I do my research, finding a compromise between power and price. But nomatter, whatever machine I would end up being happy with, it is going to be expensive. Oh I had the funds for it aside from that is set aside for my Glastonbury trip, however, the extra funds were set aside towards my 2017 trips.

So it came down to a choice of two trips in 2017, or a laptop and one trip in the latter half of 2017.

I chose the latter...... and so I am now composing this blog on my new laptop.... which of course will be coming with me to Glastonbury.

Next thing my car..... and last week I also had it booked in for a service, new tyres, and replace rear brake light. In this instance I gotten off cheaper than expected, and my car is now roadworthy as well as being given a much overdue service. However as expected, the cooling system needs a massive flush before the summer. Up to now it has been behaving itself, but only because of our endless winter, being the coldest September on record, and October being not much warmer. So when I get back from Glastonbury I will need to get the cooling system dealt with. There's other things that needs to be done but none so urgent. I forget the car is over 12 years old!!!! It doesn't seem that old, it is still in good nick, no rust spots or things falling off, it still looks like a near-new car. But yeah it is having the issues of a 12 year old car, with work needing to be done to it.

Now just basically packing and getting ready for the trip, trying to figure out what I need to bring along while at the same time trying to keep within the airline luggage weight limits, very difficult for a Virgo who thinks he needs everything just in case he regrets leaving some things behind!!!

So just tomorrow, a full day..... then Thursday morning..... I am due at the airport pretty well soon after midday, the flight itself is due to leave at 5pm, landing in Dubai around midnight, and about two hours later, the 2nd leg to London, arriving approx 7:30am local time. Pretty good time to arrive, gives me all day to well get through customs, pick up rental car, drive to Southampton, check into the motel, and get myself set up. The motel has free wi fi, as is pretty well standard these days, most motels have free wi fi. So I will stay in touch, uploading pixs to my Glastonbury site, and also my weird musings posted on the site.

Link to my Glastonbury Trip site where pixs will be uploaded pretty well every day.......

Indeed right now I have pixs uploaded to the page already, pixs of my crystals, wand, figurine, and my pendant for my trip. So well prepared for my energy works and visiting those mystical sites and ET hotspots.

This must be under "Virgo"

Grand Final Synchronicities

I did have a feeling that the Western Bulldogs would win the AFL Grand Final but like the skeptical Virgo that I am I dismissed such feelings, thinking Sydney is far more experienced, no one ever wins a Grand Final from 7th spot, etc, etc. I guess I should learn to give more attention to my feelings.

Soon after I looked at the numerical significance of the scores I did notice some utterly scary synchronicities. There is no such creature as coincidence, but there is indeed a creature called synchronicity, it is how the universe sends messages.

The Bulldogs final score is 13.11. I leave Perth for my Glastonbury trip on the 13th and am there in the UK for 11 full days aside from the commute days to and from Perth.

The total points score is 89 points. The digits adds up to 17, which further reduces to 8. This is the standard method of numerology. 8 is the number for Divinity or the higher dimensions.

And the winning margin over Sydney is 22 points, 22 being another very energetic number. There are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet.

So with the apparently ancestral family links to the Bulldogs, this makes for truly freaky!!! There is a higher chance of winning 1st Division lotto than having a final scoreline in Australia's most significant sporting event to coincide with the significant dates of my Glastonbury trip!!!!!

Now other things with less than two weeks until I head off on another trip of a lifetime, my trip to Glastonbury and the southern UK.

I will finally get my Windows machine after struggling with my Android tablet since my PC died and ugly death just after my America trip. I had decided not to have it repaired due to its ancient age and so hang out for a laptop. However with needing to save for my Glastonbury trip, then my decision to move house, and decide on my 2017 trips, I felt I needed to hold off from purchasing such a laptop. There are cheap laptops but it's a case of you get what you pay for. Decent laptops with full features are expensive.

Then I just happen to come across info on PC sticks, basically a computer that you plug into the TV, turning the TV into a computer, and it works for all modern flatscreen TVs. Being a Virgo I did some research and found that these PC sticks are as powerful as high-end laptops but for a fraction of the price, about $200 for a device with the power and features of a $1000+ laptop. So I ordered one, and now just waiting for those carrier pigeons to bring it to me from the east coast.

Now my car..... during my travels I came across three police roadblocks in just a little over a week, with the latest being today. On each occasion the roadblocks where vehicles are checked for license and roadworthiness, has been in the opposite lanes, but I figured the universe is trying to tell me something. I knew for a while that my rear right brake light needs replacing. Then I had a sensing that I had better check my tyres, and while my back tyres are fine, my front tyres are almost as bald as my head!!!! That's a yellow sticker waiting to happen. If the coppers doesn't get me for the rear brake light, they will get me for the front tyres. So better arrange to have these issues dealt with before my trip, so will have my car booked in within the next week or so.

This is my last working week until vacation time. Tonight/Tomorrow is Rosh Hashanah the Jewish New Year, so as always, I take the day off work in honor of the day. Therefore I have effectively four more working days until vacation time.

So busy times ahead before I leave for Glastonbury..... and I haven't even started packing my bags yet!!!!

The life of a Virgo.......

Um..... no comment needed 😂

Our Endless Winter Continues

September seems destined to be one of the coldest on record with no end in sight to these July-like temperatures. I hate winter to begin with. I have a very low tolerance of the cold, I always have been so, even before being placed on my heart meds which makes it even worse. I am certain I  have Reptilian DNA in me, my energy gets very low when it is cold, the heater does not keep me warm enough, my body goes into hibernation mode, and I have to be out in the sun before I warm up and get energy - just like a reptile. Reptilians are a well known species of ET with a long history of contacts with planet Earth.

So I call Perth by a new name - Winterfell, it is the legendary city of the endless winter in the TV series Game of Thrones that I watch. I don't watch TV these days, I just rent the shows through Quickflix, they send the DVD in the post, you can watch it anytime you like, and there are no adverts 😊 I hate adverts with a passion, probably dating back to my childhood poverty years when on TV there were always advertising for things we could never afford. Its the ultimate in fermenting envy. So nowadays I pay to get away from advertising even though things economically are much better these days.

Anyway this is a holiday weekend in Western Australia, so at least I get to hibernate and stay in bed until the sun warms things up a bit. There is just two more working weeks until vacation time, and 18 days before I leave for Glastonbury which I fear will be warmer than in Perth. England has a reputation for being colder, but ironically it will probably be warmer than in Perth.

My Solar Return day, that is, the day when this planet reached a very dizzying 53 revolutions around the sun since my traumatic entry into this 3D planet after being at Taygeta where time has no meaning. Planet Earth has this strange custom of actually celebrating such a day each year. We don't celebrate it on Taygeta, time has no meaning, we don't have concept of "age" for we are eternal, and well Taygeta goes around the great central Sun of the Pleiades over many thousands of Earth years.

Well back on Planet Earth, and my Solar Return day here on Planet Earth, it was just another day except in the evening when I was invited out for dinner, one of my very rare visits to a restaurant. Here on Planet Earth they bestow gifts on Solar Return day, and so I gotten some chocolates, gift vouchers for electronic stores, and some very much appreciated moolah (money) which will be used to acquire my new pendant, Goddess figurine and wand for my Glastonbury trip. I purchase a new pendant for every new trip I embark on, and this time I am feeling to get a new wand and a new figurine for my energy works along the ley lines in southern England that runs through Glastonbury.

I am pretty well all set for my Glastonbury trip. The only thing left to do is arrange travel insurance, what we Virgos do, and is very easy to do online these days. Only that no one will insure me for any heart related issues since I am diagnosed with heart disease. So if I suffer any heart related issues and get taken to hospital while overseas I am very much on my own. However since that fateful day of July 2015 when I had the heart attack I have had no other heart related issues so very unlikely it will crop up during any trip. Well it's not going to stop me anyway.

Then when I get back from Glastonbury I will almost immediately commence formalities for moving out into a smaller abode with less rent. I expect to be in a new abode by the end of November. Then I can start planning and saving my pennies for my next trip, a pilgrimage to Peru or Egypt. This time it will be with a tour group, a spiritual group where we do energy works. These ancient sites such as the pyramids, temples, etc, are sites of ET contacts. And so I be traveling with people as weird as I am. It is a little more expensive but once the amount is paid up front everything is taken care of, such as lodgings, transport, meals, entrance fees to sites, etc. I just have to get my butt over there, that is, arrange my own air tickets, travel documents, etc, but once I arrive at the airport, the group takes over, often picking me up at the airport and even helping me through customs in some instances. So is very well worth the expense especially in countries where English is not the first language. Up until now I visited only English speaking countries - New Zealand, North America, and the UK next month. Next year it will be non-English speaking countries such as Peru or Egypt, so much better going with a group, and there are several spiritual tours or pilgrimages on offer next year. Just a matter of saving my pennies and choosing which one, or being guided by the universe to which pilgrimage I am meant to attend.

But firstly.... my Glastonbury trip.... then the stressful task of moving house, well stressful for Virgos anyway who doesn't like change. But I really need to move out of here. Not only to save on rent, but also it is getting more difficult for me alone to maintain such a large house on a large block. I seem to be forever doing yard work, lawn mowing, weeding, etc every weekend. And of course this is the house I shared with my wife. My New Zealand trip marked the change from being ruled by my wife's death to actually moving on and living my new life. So moving house will pretty well be the final major step for doing this.

More of my weirdness musings next time as the Glastonbury trip draws ever closer in this dimension......

Glastonbury Trip Taking Shape

Now less than four weeks until my 2nd major trip since New Zealand, and my 4th overseas trip this lifetime - aside from Rottnest Island 😃- things are finally starting to take shape for my Glastonbury trip, my trip to Southern UK, with a list of possible sites starting to take shape.

Speaking of Rottnest Island a popular spot 12 miles off the coast from Perth, back in my younger years when I thought I will never get to visit another country, when someone asked if I been overseas, I  would say, Yes.... to Rottnest Island 😃😀.... Nowadays, as I  am about to embark on my 3rd overseas trip within the past 12 months, I am living proof that you don't have to be rich to travel overseas. To be sure I certainly needed to budget and watch my spending, cutting back where possible, which we Virgos are very good at. And further intended cost saving measures such as moving into a smaller and cheaper abode will enable me to undertake more trips in 2017. But between this and using travel apps and booking online, it is possible to get good deals on air tickets and lodgings, so indeed I can travel just about anywhere in the world while on a budget. So this is what I intend doing for the foreseeable future.

Of course there is certainly no 1st class travel, no 5-star hotels, etc. But these days, most airlines offers two or even three levels within "economy" and many of the perks available were just a few years ago available only for 1st class or Business class. For example, in the Airline I am flying with to London, there are three levels of Economy. The 1st, that is, cheapest level you cannot choose where to sit, and there are certain other restrictions such as only a 1 checked luggage allowance. The 2nd level, which is what I chose, you do have a choice of seats which can be reserved online using the map of the aircraft layout, so I chose a window seat cos I always like to sit by the window. And we can have 2 pieces of checked luggage, very good for a Virgo like me who is anxious about what to pack in case it will be needed. And the only difference between the 2nd and 3rd level is on the 3rd level you can change your mind and either change on a different flight or different destination without penalty, but we Virgos stick to our plans so is not likely to change our minds. And even at the 2nd level, we get a choice of three meals on the menu including one vegetarian meal, and most importantly we get free wi fi on board 😆😊 Such perks were unheard-of in economy class even just a few years ago.

And after my catastrophic experience of staying in a hostel in Hawaii I now insist on private motel units with own bathrooms, but it is possible to get good deals on these online, such as on my motel unit in Southampton which will be my home base on my Glastonbury trip. Being Virgo I am fussy about some things such as on private lodgings and meals, but it is still possible to get at least reasonable deals on these. Car rental is a bit expensive especially when anxious Virgo me tends to take all insurance options such as damage waivers and breakdown assistance but there is no price for a Virgo for peace of mind. And petrol is a lot cheaper than in Perth. America has among the cheapest petrol on Earth, and the UK won't be as cheap as in America but it will be cheaper than Perth. When you live in the top 5 of most expensive cities on Earth, almost everywhere else on Earth will be cheaper in most things such as food and petrol.

Meanwhile back on my upcoming Glastonbury trip, the freaky "coincidences", more accurately referred to as synchronicity, continues. Last Tuesday marked one calendar month until my departure day being 13 October. And last Tuesday was marked by the Sun and Mercury conjunction  (that means the two objects appears together in the sky, very significant in Astrology) in my Sun sign Virgo. My natal chart, that is my birth chart, also shows a Sun and Mercury conjunction in Virgo. And then last Thursday which marked exactly four weeks until departure there was the Sun and Chiron opposition, meaning, the two bodies were on opposite sides with planet Earth inbetween, also very significant in Astrology. Chiron is in my Ascendant sign Pisces which is opposite to Virgo in the Zodiac. My natal chart also shows Chiron in Pisces.  These Celestial synchronicities shows that I am on the right path and that my trip is divinely planned.

Also I have been getting a lot of possible spots to visit along the Mary and Michael ley lines which runs together from Great Yarmouth on the east coast across to Lands End in the west. There are it seems a lot of vortexes, stone circles and other ancient sites at Lands End, I will post these on my Glastonbury trip page on Facebook in the next two days. It seems about half of my trip will be devoted to traversing the Mary and Michael ley lines, the rest of the trip being spent visiting Avalon sites in Wales and some time in Yorkshire. I have 11 full days in the UK not counting the arrival and departure days. Being in the most isolated city on Earth, travel each way will be over two days, basically overnight trips with stopovers and flight changes in Dubai.

This past weekend has been marked by an intense Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in my Ascendant sign Pisces, very energetically intense for me. I was at my ecstatic dancing session last Saturday which helped me to deal with these energies.

Next is my Solar Return day, when the Sun reached 26 degrees Virgo, that moment of my traumatic entry into this very dense 3D planet Earth. After being on 8D Taygeta this was a most shocking entry. A day later the Moon passes close to the Pleiades in the sky, that is when I get most homesick, being from Taygeta in the Pleiades.

This Thursday which will mark three weeks until my departure, pesky Mercury in my Sun sign will turn direct after spending the past three weeks in retrograde.

Then this Friday, three weeks until my arrival in London, is the Spring Equinox. This is the Pagan holiday Ostara which celebrates longer days and new life after the winter. The Equinox is when the day and night is of equal lengths, so after this Friday Spring Equinox the days will become longer than the nights.

So yet another very intense week coming up this week......

Why Virgos with ADHD,  Attention Directed to Higher Dimensions, should never attempt to multitask.....

Why I always take travel insurance

Must be with winters in Perth is getting colder while the east coast is getting warmer....

My travel budget is not quite THAT tight 😃

The Energetic Roller-Coaster Ride Continues

This past week has been relatively quiet with nothing much of note happening on a physical 3D level. However with more significant planetary alignments happening in my Sun and Ascendant signs this week, things could conceivably manifest.

Firstly however more insight into my Glastonbury trip, more of a confirmation of the main purpose of my trip that came to me this week. Information just comes to me without me actually searching for it. This past week I have had information come to me in regards to the Michael and Mary ley lines which runs together from Great Yarmouth on the east coast of England to the famous Land's End in the west. It happens that my home base during the 11 days of my stay will be in Southampton which is just due south of the halfway point of the ley lines. The motel room I have booked several months ago, indeed before my America trip, long before I was aware of the ley lines.

I am indeed to traverse the whole length of the two lines which runs together somewhat like two strands of a rope, sometimes they do cross over, often where ancient Pagan sites such as stone circles are located. There are also many old churches at certain points of the lines. Christians had a habit of building churches on top of old Pagan sites. I will be visiting many of those sites along the ley lines for my energy works. This in addition to my visits to Yorkshire and Wales.

Also I had information come to me about two pilgrimages to Peru scheduled for the middle of 2017. This is early days yet but I am feeling that my next trip is to be to South America, and am particularly drawn to Peru. There is the choice of two pilgrimages, one a little longer therefore more expensive than the other. Obviously I would prefer to go on the longer pilgrimage where more sites will be visited, oh yes I do aim for the biggest and the best, and the universe often responds. I do already have the funds that will cover at least the air tickets and the deposit payment, however, which one I would be able to attend will hinge on my success or otherwise in downsizing to a smaller abode which will save not only on the rent but also the utilities and other costs associated with maintaining such a large house on a quarter acre block. I actually prefer to live in a smaller abode, I am not particularly thrilled about living in such a large house. My wife is the only reason for living in such a large house, she despised apartment living. In contrast I actually enjoy apartment living. So my plan is to move out into an apartment or some other smaller abode in November, after I come back from England. This will give me plenty of time to settle in and save my pennies towards either of the Peru pilgrimages, one in June or the other in August.

Anyway my focus at this time is on my upcoming Glastonbury trip, now just 32 days away, not long at all.

Meanwhile to get through this week, where three major Celestial events will hapoen, certain to affect me. My life is so in synch with Celestial events for better or worse. Mercury is now past the halfway point of its retrograde, happening in my Sun sign Virgo. Mercury will soon be in conjunction with the Sun, of course currently in Virgo. Then Mercury will move in opposition to Chiron currently in my Ascendant sign Pisces. Being in opposition simply means the planets are opposite to each other with planet Earth inbetween, which makes for more intense energies, especially when both planets are in retrograde as is Mercury and Chiron. Last but not least, the lunar eclipse next weekend, also in my Ascendant sign.

So a very interesting week ahead......

The recent Census Night 😀

After the latest round of budget cuts in the govt departments.....

Here at my workplace 😂

Must be why I am never invited to outings.... 😀😇

Solar Eclipse Week

Last Thursday was a very intense New Moon and Solar Eclipse in my Sun sign Virgo, and also marked 6 weeks or 42 days before my departure for Glastonbury. 42 is said to be the number of the universe. In one of my very freaky coincidences that so marks my life, the peak of the New Moon and Solar Eclipse peaked just after 5pm my local time. My flight 42 days hence is scheduled to depart at 5pm. So pretty well exactly 42 days between this lunar event in Virgo and my departure for Glastonbury.

And since this eclipse I have suddenly been given ideas about what I will be doing during my Glastonbury trip. The details are given on my Glastonbury Trip page on Facebook, the link is given in my blog two weeks ago titled "Very Intense Week" dated 21/8/2016.

Eclipses always brings changes, and the first hint of this came with my Ecstatic dancing session that I attend on Wednesdays. In fact this past Wednesday was destined to be my last session before the changes. Next week the session will be changed to Thursdays evenings and at a different venue. I love dancing so much, it is literally in my DNA, Mother used to be a dancer. It is also in my ET DNA, I feel like I am back on Taygeta during these dancing sessions.

Last Friday came a more shocking change, that is, with my job. The building in which our workplace is located is being sold, and the building will be knocked down as it is an old building. It is actually haunted, I do see spirits and sense energies. Anyway all this is set to happen in two years. So we will have to move in two years.

No mention was made of any of us being made redundant, our jobs we have been assured are safe, it be just in a different location. However with other things being said, me Virgo always over-thinks and over-analyze and we read between the lines. Our jobs are not as safe as they say it is though I expect to be in a job for at least two more years, and will continue with my plans for overseas travel while still in a job.

However my spirit knows things before my mind catches up, and there are deeper reasons for my task to declutter and shed myself of surplus possessions, and to downsize to a smaller and cheaper abode as a stepping stone towards a more nomadic lifestyle. It is more than just making extra funds available for my trips.

My rent represents by far my largest fortnitely expense taking near to 40% of my income after taxes, moreso than even my groceries. So any reduction in my rent outlay will be of significant help towards saving my pennies for my trips. And should the currently unthinkable happens and I lose my job, I will use my payout to get a campervan or RV and live on the road as one simply cannot survive on Centerlink or a pension while paying rent, and there is at least a 5 years waiting list for public housing.

Nowadays with the economic downturn there is a glut in housing in Perth and with landlords falling over themselves to get tenants, rents are dropping like rocks. So the pragmatic Virgo that I am will take advantage of this situation, and so after my Glastonbury trip I will give the notice to my landlord and move out of this large house into a smaller apartment unit.

The rent is not the only issue. Maintaining such a large house and yard is taking more and more of my energy, being on my own, as well as being expensive. My water utility bills goes through the roof each summer as I try to keep the lawns and garden alive in this drought stricken city. So being in an apartment will also solve this problem and make even more funds available for my pilgrimages.

Of course moving house is an inherently expensive operation in itself, but I expect to be in an apartment by 2017 and well on my way to saving my pennies for my 2017 pilgrimages. Me the Virgo always thinking logically and making plans, it is in the DNA of Virgos to do so.

Now will see what this week will bring as more intense Celestial events unfolds with another eclipse happening next week this time in my opposite Ascendant sign Pisces......

I wonder if there is travel insurance for going back to Taygeta 😃

What I ask during this coldest winter in 22 years 😨

The government truth......
