My Bicycle and The Three Weeks

Since the start of the month of Tammuz, each time an incident happens I would light three candles, with crystals placed around them, and some quick invocations. So far it does seem to make a significant difference. Hopefully this will continue once "The Three Weeks" begins this Saturday.

I did the three candle ritual when the incident with my bicycle wheel happened. As I shared last week, I took my bicycle to the shop where they needed to order in a new wheel which they estimated to be by Wednesday, and at a total cost of about $200. Well it turned out the wheel came in earlier and my bicycle was ready by Tuesday, and it cost me only $160.

However the three candle ritual doesn't work for football tipping, indeed it doesn't work for football related matters, such as the catastrophe that was the Thursday night match!!! Hmmmmm..... things are looking grim.... things are looking very grim...... Uh well back to full rounds now next week, and another toughie for the Maggies, don't like their chances there either..... but hopefully get more than three correct picks even if it is now out of nine matches!! LOL!!

Uh well life goes on............

This one a little close to home.....

Indeed it is so.....

Almost that time of year......

Dealing with those extremely annoying door to door salesmen ;) hehe

The Curse of Tammuz and The Three Weeks

Oh yes its that dreaded time of the year again.... it comes around way too fast.... the dreaded "The Three Weeks" which commemorates the siege of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Jewish Temples, when calamities often befalls the Jews, including those connected with the Holocaust. And it is also when I suffer calamities. At first I thought I must be at least part-Jewish, since "The Three Weeks" affects only Jews, it does not affect "Gentiles", but subsequent genealogy searches turned up no Jewish blood whatsoever. My wife was proven to be part Jewish, she found that out from family sources just prior to her death, but no.... not me. So I  thought I must have been a Jew in one of my past lives, though still seemed rather far fetched, I mean, just being a Jew in a past life should not really affect one so badly in our current life.

Then a few months ago when I joined Celestial Temple and had my natal chart analysed, it is like a light bulb had been switched on. My life all started to make more sense. In my natal chart, that is, where the Sun, planets etc were located when I was born, four of the planets were in Virgo and two in Scorpio. This means I have worked as priests, shamans, and/or other spiritual practitioners during my past lives. It doesn't matter so much where the Sun was located, indeed the Sun doesn't give as much of an influence as one is normally led to believe in the horoscope columns. It just happens that the Sun was also in Virgo, hence I am a Virgo. But the greatest influence is the number of planets in each sign, and those with the most planets in Virgo and Scorpio it turns out have been priests, shamans, etc, in past lives. Indeed I have worked as priests in Atlantis, Lemuria, other star systems, etc...... and in the Jewish Temple!!!!

Yes it dawned on me!!!!! I now know WHY "The Three Weeks" affects me so badly!!! I have worked as a Jewish priest in the Jewish Temple during one of my past lives!!!! It all makes sense now. This explains my connection with Jews, that my wife was a Jew, and why Judaism have fascinated me so much...... and why I have such a difficult time during "The Three Weeks"!!!

Now I know why "The Three Weeks" affects me but it still doesn't help to try overcome it!!! And I am already feeling the effects of it even though "The Three Weeks" doesn't actually begin until July 4 this year in 2015. Last week's New Moon heralded the start of the cursed month of Tammuz. The siege of Jerusalem by the Babylonians began on the 9th day of Tammuz, and the Roman siege of Jerusalem began on the 17th day of Tammuz, which is indeed that start point of "The Three Weeks". Both Jewish Temples were destroyed on exactly the same day, the end point of "The Three Weeks", though six centuries apart.

Last week during the New Moon period, about last Wednesday, I was riding home from work when I heard a snap!!! I had no idea what it was. I thought I may have run over something but I couldn't see anything on the cycle path. So I thought nothing more of it, until a couple of kms down the track when I noticed something strange happening with my bicycle. The back wheel, which lasted me 8 years until now, became bent out of shape. The "snap" that I heard was one of the spokes snapping off. And being a New Moon period I realised this happened at the dawn of the cursed month of Tammuz!!!!

So I took my bicycle to the repair shop who simply replaced the spoke and straightened up the wheel, the whole exercised was less than $30, and just a day later I was back on my bicycle.

Then on Saturday during what was planned to be a 60km ride I heard another very ominous snap about 30kms into my ride!! I looked at the wheel, alas, another spoke has snapped!!!! Fortunately this happened virtually in the shadow of a train station, so I was able to take the train back home with now crippled bicycle in hand.

Then I called the shop, questioning if perhaps I need the whole wheel replaced, afterall it did last me 8 years!! They suggested I bring the bicycle into the shop, which I did that day, they took a closer look at the wheel, and it seems it have been damaged through 8 years of wear and tear!! So a new wheel was in order for the day.

They don't do repairs on weekends, but said if I left my bicycle there, they could do the job on Monday. So I agreed to that, and so they looked to see if they have the wheel in stock. Well as my Tammuz luck or lack thereof would have it, the wheel was not in stock!! So they would have to order it in, thus I would have to wait a couple more days before I have my bicycle back, possibly by Wednesday depending on when the wheel arrives.

So now my trusty ole bicycle is in the shop awaiting a new wheel. And together with labour it is going to cost me over $200. But then we're talking about a professional standard wheel on a professional standard road bicycle. It's not one of those $20 K-Mart jobs which barely lasts me 8 weeks let alone 8 years. So it's not bad considering that the wheel has lasted me 8 years, however of course, where money is involved with tight budgets there is NEVER a good time for things to go wrong, especially with "The Three Weeks" coming up!!!!! Over the years my bicycle usually bears the brunt of calamities during "The Three Weeks"!!!

And speaking of the curse of Tammuz and The Three Weeks..... indeed the curse of Chiron.... the disaster area that is the football tipping, not helped by some unexpected results, such as the Demons having a win!!!! I don't think anyone would have picked them!!! And to make things worse, the bloody Weevils managed to pay the umpires enough to get them over the line and I didn't even pick them!!! Yes a very bad Tammuz start here! I shudder to think how things will pan out when "The Three Weeks" begins, when my tipping results usually turns pear shaped after good starts to the season - unfortunately in this instance I never even had a good start this year!!! How much worse can it get!!! Uh well..... its only a game.... its only a competition..... just in it for the fun...... NOT!!!!!!

As they say there is always next week..... another six match round, and this time no Weevils matches, but the moment of truth for the Maggies, playing the Dockers.... hmmmmm my feelings are not good on that one...... another dismal football weekend coming up.......

Last but not least..... the Solstice.... the shortest day of the year happening tomorrow, indeed tonight is the longest night of the year. Being the winter solstice here in the southern hemisphere it is the Yule holiday, the Pagan holidays being at opposite times of the year to that of the northern hemisphere due to the opposite seasons. So we Pagans say.... Blessed Yule ;)

Now time to lighten up with my quirky sense of humor......

A bit like my place in the office tipping comp.....

Yes that is very depressing!!!!!.....

ummmm..... not very good at all LOL

Budget cuts ideas after paying for bicycle repairs ;)

What a weekend !!!

Now Mercury's retrograde has ended and that pesky little planet is moving forward again so things should start easing up on that front. Now Neptune has begun its retrograde, and in this instance it is a good thing, it being a water planet, you know, named after the sea god "Neptune" which most of us is familiar with from stories, etc.... water means spirituality, so its retrograde motion makes it a good time for us to deal with our purposes in life..... and for me, it's a good time to finally update my crystals collection, what I been planning on doing for the last few months but has been blocked from it until now. Yeah I know.... weird.... but I love my crystals. As it is said, a star seed cannot live without his crystals, it is our lifeline, going back to the times and on other planets when the use of crystals were commonplace and not confined to the hippies and other weird souls like me ;)

I would have planned to go to Fremantle cos that is where most of the crystals shops are located, but my attention was directed at a shop at the Hillary boat harbour up Sorrento way. So as part of my walking regime on Saturday I decided to go by the shop and check it out. And.... wow...... I thought I died and gone to crystal heaven, or back to my home planet where crystals are as common as dirt on Earth ;)!! It was awesome!!!!..... I didn't purchase anything then cos I was on my walk, but just wanted to check it out, and well..... awesome...... and it is open on Sundays!!!!!

So today I went back to the shop by car..... would have brought my trailer except that I hadn't won lotto and so was on a budget.... uhhhhh a star seed can never have too many crystals!!!!.... the number of crystals purchased limited only by my currently available funds ;).... anyway.... I bought some more crystals, some for my sacred space, some for just around the house, and some to carry around with me. Each crystal type serves a different purpose, so bought a few varieties.

The crystals I bought today.....

There were other things at the shop also..... and some statues of dragon goddesses which I just loved so much. Dragons are another part of my interests, and goddesses well its part of our root Pagan spirituality before patriarchy took over..... So I bought one of these too ;)

My Dragon goddess..... its about 40cm high or about 16 inches or so ;)

OK enough of my weirdness......

Now the catastrophe that is the football tipping, the curse of Chiron very much evident..... well good for the Maggies.... hehe..... very good win..... but aside from that bright spot.... well..... hum...... those Bombers can't even beat the Weevils, oh what is the world coming to!!!..... hmmmm..... not good..... very grim indeed..... but you'd think with just six matches I'd be able to get a higher percentage of them right, perhaps even all six..... uh well dream on........

Well next week, just another six matches, and the Maggies have a rest...... and those Bombers have a rest..... maybe they be able to regroup if they don't die of shame from being beaten by Weevils LOL..... so the only thing I be able to root for next week is for the Tigers to have roasted Weevils for dinner..... hahaha.....

One of the bonuses for getting my new phone is 12 months free access to the live AFL matches, meaning ALL live matches, not just the ones they show on TV.... this is really great.... me can now watch any AFL match live on my phone where ever I am..... down at the beach, on my walks, at the shops, as well as here at home when they're not shown on our TV channels..... so me watching Maggies matches on my phone ;)

Next weekend is the Solstice, the shortest day of the year, so here we celebrate Yule. Oh yes we Pagans celebrate the holidays at opposite times of the year cos of the opposite seasons. We not like the Christians who celebrate Xmas the same day all over the world even though it is hot here. Of course we know that Xmas comes originally from Yule. However we Pagans we celebrate the 8 holidays of the year at opposite times to those in the Northern Hemisphere due to the opposite seasons. So our Solstice next weekend on the 21st, well being Winter, we celebrate it as Yule.

Now more of my quirky sense of humor.......

Back to work Monday.......

Typical Monday at work ;)

What NOT to say to the boss ;) hehe

And at every workplace there's a character like him....... LOL

Football Lessons

Oh being a Virgo we find it hard to adapt to changes in routines..... we Virgos loves our certainty in our routines, and we panic when the routines are changed..... we get all muddled and scatter brained..... such as when an extra match is played the following Monday ;).... and I think the new computer system of the Tipping site is also a Virgo, it didn't email me the results until TODAY, over a day late......

But this has been one of my better tipping results.... actually got a whopping high 7 picks.... well granted that the majority of the matches were running at short odds for the favorite, and there were no upsets..... except the first match!!! I had a feeling to pick Richmond but silly me did not do so...... uh well.... one lesson learned.....

My other failure was.... oh those Bombers..... why do I ever pick them Bombers...... must learn lesson..... don't pick Bombers.... which unfortunately leads to a very tricky situation..... the Bombers gets to enjoy the privilege of playing the Weevils..... now if the Bombers can't beat the Weevils then probably about time they consider changing codes! LOL! OK they have to travel to the far distant outposts of the very isolated west coast..... very long trip I know..... but still no excuses..... I simply cannot bring myself to pick the Weevils..... so..... going to stick my neck out one more time.... but this is the last chance.... after this.... no more!!!!

At least the Weevils were given their reality check! That one I did pick correctly, for them Weevils to be given their reality check. That was one of the highlights of the weekend. Of course the other was.... ohhhhh the Maggies..... it was tight at times, but this time I knew they would prevail..... they always play better on the holiday Monday match against the Demons......

Anyway..... nothing much else happening on this side..... my very mundane life....... will see how next weekend pans out......

Now my quirky sense of humor......

Um... yes.... hehe.....

My puddy cat LOL

Is that why more ETs doesn't visit us? LOL

Me who hates queues.....
